Great Job to all of the drivers for a successful race and congratulations to Bob.

See you all next time!!!

Hi Everyone,

On August 12th, 2012, we will be having another big race which is similar to the one we ran in March. Here is the rules and other information you will need to know.

Summer Time Shoot-Out Race

Rules:
The Track: We will be racing on a 90' Tri Oval... Turns 1-2 are flat, 3-4 is a high bank, and a slightly Tri oval halfway between front stretch and turn 1-2.

Entry Fees and Awards: There will be a $20 entry fee. This will include your track time for the day, lunch, trophies for the top 3 finishers and a concourse plaque but here's the kicker, this is based on 15 entries so the more entries the money for payout: 1st $100, 2nd $50, and 3rd $25.
Rules... I'm going to try and keep this simple
PRACTICE: Everybody will have open practice from the time the track opens till 12:00 o'clock noon, at which time the track will be shut off for lunch. I think this gives everybody some free time to relax a bit and enjoy lunch while I complete the Tech inspection. That means ALL cars will be in tech by 12 or sooner and I will get the names in the computer so we can be ready to race by 1pm.
CHASSIS: Any 4" stamped steel chassis that is CURRENTLY produced and in stock, Chettah  7 .030 plated chassis are legal, NO open motor box chassis, motor brackets may be hogged out to allow for proper gear mesh, you can raise or lower bushings for chassis and gear clearance. Those are the ONLY chassis modification's that ARE allowed (so don't ask about what if this or what if that). U shaped rear end braces will be allowed. You may add a guide tongue brace. You may add weight to the chassis.
GEARS and AXLES: 48 pitch gears any ratio, 1/8th axles only, flatten axles are allowed (Dick P style), NO hollow axles. Rear bushing's only NO ball bearings. Front axle must be .047 or larger nothing less and pass through both uprights.
TIRES; FRONT and REAR: Any front tires (Koford, S-7, Parma, etc...). Any type and diameter rear tire can be used as long as Gears and Chassis pass with standard Parma or Champion tech tool.
BODIES: NECC outlaw dirt oval bodies will be the body of choice for this race. JK and PARMA only, no O/S. Fully painted, no opaque paint jobs or cleared sides. Numbers and interiors are optional as we run in NECC.
MOTORS: Falcon or TSR motors only. You may add heat sinks to them if you wish.
MISC: Any guide flag, lead wire/clips, braid can be used. Body clips or pins and pin tubes can be used.
If you have any further questions, please contact me, Gary Clinton Jr.
